Accessibility statement

Our commitment

Ava Ecosystem aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard meets and exceeds the requirements of Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, O. Reg. 191/11, which set WCAG 2.0 Level AA as the legal baseline for public websites. We hold ourselves to the newer, stricter 2.1 standard because it also covers mobile, zoom, and pointer criteria that matter to the people who use this product.

How we enforce it

Accessibility is treated as a release gate, not an afterthought.

Automated checks

Every change runs through continuous integration, which sweeps our canonical pages with automated accessibility scans, verifies the contrast of every design token pairing we ship, and lints templates for common regressions such as missing image alternatives.

Manual audits

Automated tooling only catches a portion of real-world accessibility issues. Before each release we perform keyboard-only and screen-reader passes over any flow that changed, plus a reflow check at high zoom levels. Our full manual verification process is documented internally and reviewed alongside every new component.
